Excellent! Never heard that one before. I like that bit with the repeated notes. It would make a good technique exercise just on its own!

Well, I had a few accordions before that, but it was the first one that I felt that I had to own. I loved the sound.
Then, because of the name “Nunziola”, I thought I would meet the famous man (Charles Nunzio) himself. When I did meet him, he “challenged” me to play for him. After that, I realized that I really needed a good teacher - and he was known to be a great pedagogue. He wouldn’t start right away (“I have to eat my lunch”), so he made the appointment for my first lesson a week later. We went through his two “Hanon for Accordion” books, his three “Little Czerny” for accordion books, as well as many pieces of music. Most notable was the music of Frosini, who was his teacher.
I hope I didn’t bore you with my little story.

Well, the notion of "streamlining" was a "thing" at that time ( cars, planes, trains, bicycles , whatever): a catch-word like "atomic" or "cosmic " in later years and "renewables"currently.
We humans continuously go from one fad to another!

I noticed on Youtube that you play Espana in F in a version by Pietro Frosini. Let's say it's equally challenging!Exactly
There is another accordion version of Espana by Emile Waldteufel, op 236 ( whose music I like in general ). I wondered if you have come across that version Zevy?

I probably looked into everything and anything I could regarding that music. That’s because when I study a piece of music I delve into it as much as I can. However, the version that I played is Frosini‘s arrangement. I wanted to play it ever since I heard it on Luigi Apparetti’s Frosini album (look it up). I study from time to time with Eddie Monteiro and he was able to help me with some of the difficult passages.
“Streamline Waltz” is a piece of cake compared to other things that I have posted. It’s funny how I get more positive reactions to some posts and not so many to the more cerebral pieces of music.
Either way, I’m glad you liked it and I only want to make people happy - it doesn’t matter what music they prefer.
