Especially for Jarvo. I did post a link to the No.1 Ladies playing polskas in the other thread (wherever that was...) - but Ill try to find some more...

some time later: not that easy! I know a fair few folkies who play Swedish tunes, esp on the Nyckelharpa, but can I find anything on YouToob?
In the meantime, heres a good introduction to Swedish music: http://www.norbeck.nu/abc/gif.html#swedish

Later still: the lovely Hannah James & Sam Sweeney play an unnamed polska
And a track by Väsen on Grooveshark

And of course Carl Jularbo, I play many of his tunes.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdteELIq_WI
And a polka:
There is a lot more on Youtub. Now you know what to look for. :-)
There is even some whit me playing, not very proud of my performance, so you have to look it up yourself. Good luck, and have a nice weekend. In Western Norway we have a beautiful day.

has anybody got the dots for the Oslo Waltz ( Kristiana Valsen) by Erichsen. There are various you tube clips of it including a (sound only) clip of Jimmy Shands recording thereof.

He was quite a talented baby then , tragic how short a life he seems to have had ,wonder what else he could have done had he become older !!! {} :b {}

What sort of accordion is Alf Hagedal playing on that youtube clip? Seems to have an unusual treble end!

Seriously though ,some really nice music ..Sounds a bit to advanced and complicated for me at the minute ....I am on a back to basics jag at the minute ...trying to get some proper rhythm and control....but some of these will definitely be on my smorgasbrod of future delights...... :b

I have the dots for the Scottish version ("Oslo Waltz", in A) in the modes tutorial on my website. Somewhere I have chords for it (from the late Jim Paterson) and I'll add them when I find them.
