Those of you who know me a bit better expect mostly baroque and classical music from me. But when I got a Hohner Morino IV M in for tuning I just knew I had to use it for some real accordion music. Thus I made an arrangement of Tanzende Finger (by Heinz Gerlach) and posted a Professor P recording on YouTube.
I rarely show off my recordings here, but some of my friends seem to like this version very much, so here it is... (Note: the video does not show the Morino.)
The arrangement (sheet music) is, as always, freely available from www.de-bra.nl/arrangements.html.
I'm not sharing it in the new 21 songs in 21 weeks thread because I already know I cannot achieve that pace.

That's great, lovely lightness and lift to the playing and the various parts are crystal clear in the recording.
Classy work meneer!

Great Paul, thanks!

I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing!

I saw (heard) the post yesterday, maybe on Facebook? I wondered which of your accordions you were playing. Now I know. None of them!

Well... only the main melody line (first voice in the arrangement) is played on the Morino IV M. It has a very nice balance in MM between the reeds inside and outside cassotto, much better than most more modern accordions. (I tuned it to s 12 cents tremolo which sounds best to me.)
The other voices were played on my Morino Artiste X S (second voice, MM with 8 cents tremolo), AKKO bayan (third voice, parts in L, LM and LH) , Bugari 540/ARS/C (fourth voice, LMH) and Pigini Bass C39 (bass part, LMH).
I must add that the Morino IV M was a bit tricky to play, not because it is a piano accordion (all others are CBA) but because it has very wide keys. The keyboard is about 2cm wider (measured over all 41 keys) than on more modern full size accordions (including Hohner).

A personal favourite of mine for many years and I like the almost street organ sound that the choice of registers produced... well done Paul!
I'll be putting out my version out sometime likely in the spring/summer, life permitting. :)

I really love that ❤️ I needed a lift of spirits this morning, and this worked wonders!
