Ted Heaths beautiful arrangement of a poem Moira sent to him in 1941 after having spent a weekends army leave together... They made enough money from this tune to form the Ted Heath Orchestra....wonderful.....true romance...

I really enjoyed that and you seem to be enjoying your music more and more.

Thankyou both...
Nigel...i hope to see you at twinwood bank holiday weekend
BobM...you ok....you haven't pulled this one apart yet...you know you're welcome too

Hi Terry,

I've been composing a response to the "other" topic but have had a power cut and lost it. Maybe it's for the best.. Battles and Wars etc.

But I hope that you don't feel like I'm pulling your work apart, just offering a little extra Stradella power?!..

BobM.

I'm grateful you take the time and effort to pull my compositions apart....how else could I develop...i don't post videos fir a pat on the head...a kick up my arse is far more beneficial....fire away...

You're using the Vera Lynn version, and there's a Dominant chord which softens the key change to the middle 8. So as you're in Eb and you're going to Gmin, put in a D7 on the last beat of bar of the A section.

And maybe, a little juxtaposition on the last few notes, as in LOV Bb7, ELY Cdim, WEEK Bb7/D, END Eb. Maybe some florid upward Cmin inverted triads over the final Eb chords?

BobM.

Thanks Bob...knew you'd come through with th tips even if I had to prod....
Funny all my sheets are getting little pencilled alterations to my themes...noted as 'Bobs version 2nd time round'
