Hello folks, Im trying to learn the tune the promised land written by chuck berry, but as the swamp Cajun version as performed by johnny Allen, with the famous solo.
I have a ancient 12bass piece that sounds nice. I can't find any sheet music about or online that's suitable, or any video, and I'm struggling I'm afraid! Can any one help with some pointers pleasw :hb :hb

................its the Chuck Berry versh or the Elvish versh but you may be able to adapt it

Thanks for turning me onto this , cracking tune I may have a stab meself.....once I get You Never Can Tell and Johnny Be Goode nailed....... BTW if you have trouble with the scores for the tune its just a version of the Wabash Cannonball.....that should be in ...er whats it called when its out of c........Public Domain.....so cheap......

Thanks jarvo, that's really good of you, I hadn't realised that the wabash c was the same, what do you think I should do with the bass side of things?? I am now into my 3rd month of learning the ac and can knock out a wicked can can but all the other learning material I have been learning is designed for kiddies, it's time to develop some rock and roll!

As said before - Wabash Cannonball is the basic tune
