I'm slowly digging deeper into this corrosion-damaged Paramount that I'm restoring. It's hopefully dismantled almost as far as I need to go: the bass machine was fun. More questions...
Ideally, I'd like to buy some replacement woodscrews, but, after hours looking, have drawn a blank on the 'net, including the major accordion spares sites (Carini, FRM Enterprises, etc.). 1.7mm diameter, 7-10mm long, round head screws seem to be made of Unobtainium these days. Can anyone suggest a source of the small sizes of proper woodscrews (NOT self-tappers) that are/were used to hold Italian accordions together? Just to make it even more difficult, they should be round head, and slotted, not Phillips recess...
