I have finally landed with both feet!! I have skimmed info from the site in the past...especially about Chinese made accordions and a certain Music store in Wisconsin. Alas I came too late, and bought two Excaliburs from that location (chromatic and Diatonic)....they have been good-- so far; I started with a Hohner Corso....one of my friend's father was a passionate player / collector and he "tricked" me into playing it (I played harmonicas for years, so playing a button diatonic G/C was no trick). I also had a friend who had a Creole style button box-he let me play around with it. My "Corso" friend enticed me further.....I now own a beautiful Strasser Styrian Accordion, which was barely played by his dad (he passed a couple of years ago; was an excellent accordionists). I have a Hohner 1304 Student accordion....it has its limitations, but I wouldn't dismiss it completely out of hand. In the future I want to purchase an Italian 41/ 120 accordion made in the Castelfidarro region- No Hohners, Weltbesten, Sofia Mari "stuff". So that's my intro and where I am headed.

Welcome - Your intro' oozes excitement. Definitely worth the two exclamation marks.
There will be lots more to come.

PS diatonic or CBA. So hard to choose .

I want to get a well-made Italian piano accordion; as I mentioned, I have a Strasser and have been playing Diatonic and PA since 2020.....my Covid 2019 therapy!! My rational is that since Hohner high end PAw are made in italy, why not go italian???

All mine are 41/120 Italian made in the Castelfidardo region. No regrets!🙂
There's a lot to choose from!🤔🙂
Regrettably, in recent times, many with Italian sounding maker's names are actually made in China, as are some with well-known German names: buyer be aware!🙂
