Heard Joey DeFrancesco had dialled Jimmy Smith too aged 9 and pretending to be music industry mogul... When JS called back he wasn't angry but took the kid under his wing and whenever in town hooked up, at 16 joey was playing a college back up band for a trumpet competition with Miles Davis as judge.... Miles said i ain't interested in any of these trumpet players but who's the kid on Hammond.... Took his number and gave him a job 2 months later....
Hammond module should be finished fitting to my accordion this week...
