i am not sure how many people know this classic italian tune / song but was interested to read that the composer, rocco inspired this to made into a film for its 50th anniversary based on his own real life story
i thought this quite unusual and would love to see this film but unsure how or when or if
(this was partly what started my research into downloading films)
i think it is a touching film about the story of immigration, family conflicts and struggles, and how rocco used music to give him hope after finding himself suddenly starting a new life a long way from home
it was released last year in Belgium and this year in Italy from what I can gather
Rocco Granata is a Belgian singer, songwriter, and accordionist. Granata was born in Figline Vegliaturo, Calabria, southern Italy; but his parents immigrated to Belgium when he was aged ten.
