Turkish Rondo

Hi everyone, I've made another 'scrolling sheet music' video. This time I tried to insert a few video clips of me playing as well. I'm not terribly happy with it, I had some problems with frames being dropped etc in the rendering process, causing it to look out of sync. (probably because of my backwards way of making it, which is to arrange all the elements on my screen using different media players and then screen capturing the whole thing)

I'm also questioning this whole style of video making....I'm thinking these days that having this cluttered screen with all this movement is ultimately a distraction from the music. I want my Youtube channel to be 'all about sheet music', so that is the thought that these videos were borne out of.  Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Hi, Frank. This is a wonderful rendition, well done! As far as the video is concerned, I personally find it interesting to watch. Since you want a channel 'all about sheet music', what you have done is a good idea - a mix of sheet music and the treble side.

I agree. As someone who is learning I find it incredibly helpful to be able to follow along with the sheet music while listening to you play. The Turkish Rondo is something I have on my list of tunes I want to be able to play one day. It was great to hear this and know it can sound so good on accordion.

Thanks everyone for your positive feedback!
I spent a fair bit of time editing this one; I think I felt that way yesterday because by the time I was finished, staring at the scrolling music for so long made me a bit dizzy..

IMO a video like this makes it easy to learn the piece. The scheet scrolling combined with your hand technique is like exampe from a teacher is just what a learner needs.

Excellent all round Frank. Very much like Arrigo Tomasi's  presentation style ( which you will be aware of ) although he doesn't show the fingering.

I mentioned this clip on another thread. I thought to include it here because it shows fingering on both hands which I find unusual.
