Ionica Minune (Romania)

Awesome band and Ionica's a wizard. Superb fingering; he's on easy street there - true keymanship. Must practice night and day... Reminds me of Galliano!

What accordion is he playing. I think I read "Digital Sound" on it, but no brand/model.

Yes sure. Its the same as the cap hat of racing drivers or sport people.
I guess it really depends on whether the accordionist is trying to make a living, or is a hobbyist. For a professional, promoting is “work,” and deserves compensation, imho. Wearing a hat is optional, and just like John with his sounds, it’s necessary to match your hat to each of your tunes. You have to have a pretty good collection of bunnets!

I thought the brand thing first in my channel. But choose to support Hohner because I like the quality and price of my instruments.

I don't know Tom, it seems a bit "cringeworthy" for accordionists to replace the accordion brand badge with their own name because the brand wouldn't sponsor them.

Fair enough, it makes sense to me that the absolute giants of the accordion world like Jimmy Shand (and Richard Galliano) have accordions with their names - they actually had specific accordion models designed for them and named after them.

Oh... and "Doris" too!:D

Brand is not obvious in a Cello or Clarinet, but it really shows on accordion...

I just noticed Ionica's beaming smile in the bellows folds... I guess adorning your accordion with a self-portrait is all the rage now, serving both as a nifty theft deterrent and photo ID for the roving musician. It's a charming mix of flair and function! Handy hint: give those bellows a good stretch to smooth away any wrinkles.
