He plays so smooth and precise. Also adds music to the technique. I m a fan actually.Awesome band and Ionica's a wizard. Superb fingering; he's on easy street there - true keymanship. Must practice night and day... Reminds me of Galliano!
He have several accordions. Some artists dont put the brand names if they dont get a fee for promoting that brand. What accordion is he playing. I think I read "Digital Sound" on it, but no brand/model.
Oh... that's kinda sad. I guess for some folk everything is a pocket-lining opportunity. Some artists dont put the brand names if they dont get a fee for promoting that brand.
Actually all high class accordionists do that.Oh... that's kinda sad. I guess for some folk everything is a pocket-lining opportunity.

Yes sure. Its the same as the cap hat of racing drivers or sport people. Are you sure?![]()
Ah... now you mention it, that explains why I see so many accordion players wearing caps and hats.Yes sure. Its the same as the cap hat of racing drivers or sport people.
With hat is better than without hat. You look cooler and you dont have to care for your hair and baldnessAh... now you mention it, that explains why I see so many accordion players wearing caps and hats.![]()
I guess it really depends on whether the accordionist is trying to make a living, or is a hobbyist. For a professional, promoting is “work,” and deserves compensation, imho. Wearing a hat is optional, and just like John with his sounds, it’s necessary to match your hat to each of your tunes. You have to have a pretty good collection of bunnets!Yes sure. I thought the brand thing first in my channel. But choose to support Hohner because I like the quality and price of my instruments.I guess it really depends on whether the accordionist is trying to make a living, or is a hobbyist. I don't know Tom, it seems a bit "cringeworthy" for accordionists to replace the accordion brand badge with their own name because the brand wouldn't sponsor them. For a professional, promoting is “work,” and deserves compensation, imho.
Brand is not obvious in a Cello or Clarinet, but it really shows on accordion...I don't know Tom, it seems a bit "cringeworthy" for accordionists to replace the accordion brand badge with their own name because the brand wouldn't sponsor them.
Fair enough, it makes sense to me that the absolute giants of the accordion world like Jimmy Shand (and Richard Galliano) have accordions with their names - they actually had specific accordion models designed for them and named after them.
Oh... and "Doris" too!![]()
They sometimes gift the accordion too. Its that important if you are a known artist in your country at least.Yeah, each situation is different. Nobody’s offering me a Super 6!
Musicians have to get paid in the download era!Oh... that's kinda sad. I guess for some folk everything is a pocket-lining opportunity.
