Hi,

Just found this forum yesterday.

I'm getting back to playing accordion. I was a jazz player for most of my life. I own several accordions but had a special accordion stolen from me in 1987. It was a Menghini with two low reeds and a triple tone chamber. to this day it had the mellowest sound I have heard. And the keyboard was lightning fast. Does anyone have contact info for Menghini? I'd like to see if they have any record of this accordion build.

Thanks.

It's hard to follow the frequent changes in accordion makers.
If you check out http://www.accordionlinks.com/manufacturer.html and search for Menghini you will find that it was part of different consortia over time, so it may be non-trivial to find current contact information. But clearly, the same people that made your Menghini that was stolen in 1987 will not likely be making Menghini accordions now...

Yes I would agree you're right. And that's unfortunate. I would only hope they have some record as to the technical end (keyboard length, reed maker, etc).
