3rd video in the series

Here is my new video. Czardas by Vittorio Monti, a Hungarian piece composed in 1904. Originally written for the violin, piano and mandolin.
Many of our contemporaries in the accordion world have performed this song and done it justice. I hope you like my rendition of it and that I do it equal justice.

Ed, I just realised I never commented, although I had a good listen straight away. When I saw your selection, I must admit I thought... is there anything new to be done with Monti's Czardas... there was a time of my life when I seemed to be hearing it all over the place. No, I was wrong. Your muscular and exciting rendition gave it a new lease of life for me, fantastic.

I also never commented here. Matt stole my exact thought when he said exciting... I'd also add quite masterful, there is some serious skill in that man.

For me, I went and listened to it only once... maybe twice. Ok, ok, I started it over like 6 times... lol. I enjoyed it that much!!

Geez Guys ! Thanks for the kudos ! Sorry there has been a drought lately, but my wife threw me out of the dining room (aka recording studio). We have been having a ton of out of town guests lately. This is what happens when you move to Florida ! LOL! I finally got all the stuff back in the DR yesterday ( light stands, etc)) and hope to have another video up soon ( as in a week).

Please forgive my completely ignorant question - I'm new here. Is that an acoustic accordion with some kind of pickup attached (I see a panel, and you're using an amp) or is it a Digital accordion?

Ed has a very beautiful Borsini 5/5 reed acoustic. It's mic'ed and it has a MIDI integrated (the box on the front cover), however, he does not use it. What you are hearing is all acoustic, not even any audio file manipulation.

The amp is used to relay a clean sound signal from his accordion mics to the audio inputs of his camera. Pretty impressive!
