Hi Everyone
I am totally new to the world of accordians ,I discovered it through my son who asked for an accordian for Christmas so we bought him a Hohner student 120 bass from http://www.squeezydoesit.com which he plays quite good but has lost interest a bit so I am taking it over | am an absolute beginner I dont play any other instrument ,I can play one short tune on the treble side and am working on the bass side now (slowly) I have also acquired a Paolo Soprani to restore for myself with some advice from this forum hopefully.

Hi Shaun; And Welcome !!
Got any Pic's ??

Hi Shaun, Welcome to the forum!
I have only been playing a little while too; enough to know that although the hand co-ordination sometimes seems impossible at first, if you just keep practising a little every day with a good tuition book your fingers and brain will get there in the end. It is such a great instrument, I absolutely love it and hope you enjoy it just as much!

Yes JIM D I have posted some pics on the info section

Hello Shaun...welcome to a great accordion forum. We have many people on this forum with not only excellent skills but many know quite a bit about the accordion. I also have a Hohner 120 Bravo which I try to play three times a week. Started 60 years ago, quit in my teenage years, and like many of us, went back after many years. When I was stationed in the UK, my wife and I decided to live near your town...a place called Cosgrove near Stony Stratford....has a nice caravan park there. Even though it was quite a drive to Oxon everyday (RAF Upper Hayford), we wanted to be as far away as we could from my fellow Yanks to experience the British life away from the base...was great as we were the only Yanks in the village. Used to drive to Milton Keynes for big shopping! Anyway, good luck with the accordion. There are many ideas as to how and when to play...if you have any questions or concerns, there should be many in the forum to answer. Welcome again, Shaun.
