Any idea what accordian

HI JACK:
I'm certainly not the expert in accordion identification, and classification, but many members of this forum are, and could help with information, however, I believe it would be more helpful to have additional pictures showing the entire accordion, along with pictures of any identifying country of origin and / or manufacture.
Please keep in mind that an accordion of 60 plus years can be difficult to identify if at all. Many of the manufacturers of that era are long gone.
Good luck

It was 2nd hand 60years ago
60 years ago is the nineteen sixties: it's certainly older than that.
Interestingly, the bass strap adjustment, the sharp edge of the bass box and the Art Deco stripes decoration are strongly suggestive of the 1930s but the lettering font looks to be of a later style .🤔
It could be from the 1940s, although the bellows corners and bellows straps seem of a later type?🤔
Is that two rows of free basses?
That's my 2 cents!🙂

The letters on front my initials my teacher was Silvia Wilson around 1960 till I broke 4th finger not set strait one finger crosses the other

I recon that’s a 1930ish custom built accordion b. The front on the box is 1.5 acrylic approx 1928ish. I would like to know who

Welcome Jack! Super cool accordion but I can’t tell you any more about it.

I'd say 1940s sounds about right for that box, based on the design elements. The extra bass buttons imply that it was a custom or high-end instrument, definitely not a run-of-the-mill factory-produced accordion. I'd love to see more photographs!

Early 40's --- that bass strap adjuster is an add on - need more pic's

Can you tell us a bit more about the bass side? Are the extra 13 rows of 2 extra buttons somehow a 52 button freebass setup? (13 X4 = 52 which is the standard number of buttons for a Free Bass setup?). If so, the 4th row would not be repeated but continue chromatically from the 1st to 52nd note in a standard setup... so the layout would not strictly be a MIII setup... and if it was (meaning the 1st and 4th buttons repeated), you would be at 42 notes not the standard 52 button range.

Very interesting... looking forward to the response! :)
