Do certain brands favour specific genres?

A Gola with wooden mute... maybe it could be one of the early designs pre-1956, before he finalised the design.

There were many interesting early Golas with different grill designs, black and white coupler designs or even the silver finish models etc.

Could Pigini actually be the natural successor to both Dallape (as Liturgical choice) and also as leader of the whole "Classical" category in general?

I had to grab the cooking brandy. The ear is a strange thing and whilst I usually agree with every syllable you say, my ears don't like this sound. The sound is ...precise, clear and flawless...to me it's also anaemic, and typical what seems to have become a sort of default modern classical accordion sound.

Despite the great player, the sound never smiles naturally, it just smiles or indeed shows any emotion when it is ordered to do so, and when there is no artistry in a note reverts back to dead eyed perfection.

Wonderful analysis Ben. I'm in the presence of true connoisseurs! I assume you cook with Napolean 1812 cognac. You are right though, this Nova has a calm, clear tone. It does not realise it's an accordion - I suspect Miss Herzog has not mentioned it yet.😀
