Hi!
I have an old Cavagnolo accordion. I bought it from the french seller on ebay and repaired in Seoul.
I love it.
But I don' know exact model name or production year of this instrument.
There is no number outside. The only number I found on bass reed part, it doesn't seem as a serial number.
I just guess it would be the 'Virtuose'.
I asked to Cavagnolo company, but they also couldn't identify the old accordion like this.
They only guessed it would be 'Virtuose 24'.

It has old and unique type of registers behind the keyboards.

If there is any specialist on Cavagnolo, I want your help. Thanks for reading!

Hi. I too acquired an old Cavagnolo recently, probably of the same era. Mine is a 3-voice LMM 4-row 100-bass with two sliders (4 registers). It has lots of decoration with small stones on the body. I asked Cavagnolo but they could not clearly identify the model. They made so many accordions, it looks like they did not keep records of all the models, also many of them were custom-made. Enjoy it! These are superb instruments.

Hi Mok,
Your accordeon is unquestionably "Virtuoso 4". The bassoon reeds are located in the back of the instrument to make them warmer (similar to the actual tone chamber, but more simply accomplished). Very likely it has excellent reeds and woods. The treble registers are beautifully made slides controlling the individual sets of reeds. I'm guessing that it is late '50's or early 60's. A great find. If you want to sell it send me a private message.
It is more than a year now since your post. I hope you are enjoying it!
Be well.

Hi Pipemajor,
Yes, I know Leboncoin. 12 years ago I was actually able to purchase an instrument from someone on that website. However, now with 2 tier security, a phone number is required for an account. Because I live in the US my phone number is not accepted to re-establish my account. I'm trying to resolve it with Leboncoin, but they are very slow to respond. I do get to see the website, however, so I keep trying!
Thanks for the reminder.

I had the same problem when Leboncoin decided to use French mobile phones for verification. I only had a UK mobile but got round it by giving my French neighbour's (I had a house in France at the time) mobile phone number.
