I am not sure we are allowed a commercial recommendation, but after trying for days getting a particular Dutch song send to Australia, I found it in Sweden! When I looked at the website, boy, I never imagined there were so many books available for the accordion in each and every style you can think of. Prompt response to emails, you can pay with paypal.
I have no commercial interest in this company, but was drooling over all those books.
This is it
Ordered two but will definitely order more!

There is quite a bit of music for the accordion out there, Hetty. Some on the forum have mentioned free music sites as well. Here in the U.S., some of use free-scores.com. It is easy to use...just select the instrument and type of music and it will direct you to it, where you can print it. Good luck!

That is a huge shop.
I found a similar (but smaller) source in Finland - mainly thanks to another poster.
Until recently I had no idea how popular accordions are in Scandinavia.
They don't seem to have any inhibitions about what sort of music either.

Thanks lasvegascolonel. Lots of good music on free-scores. However, I had looked there before, I just wanted "Aan de Amsterdamse Grachten" ( On the Amsterdam Canals) and I couldn't find a free version anywhere. At least, not for accordion. Found some for choirs, some of wind instruments and one with the text and the chords written in.
Maybe I am reverting back to my youth, ordered a book with old dutch songs like the ones we learned at school....

I’ve had a good look for it, and it’s surprising that such a popular piece (in Holland) isn’t out there somewhere as a lead sheet.

If you’ve found the melody and the chords in separate places could you create an arrangement for yourself?

Thanks Bob, I might be able to, although I am terrible at actually writing music, I'd have to kind of code it, but the book is on the way and it has some other good tunes in it. Meanwhile, I keep practicing what I got. Such a temptation to know lots of tunes 'nearly good enough' {}

Looking at the slideshow of views of the shop you get on the homepage, it looks like Accordionary even sells accordion-playing garden gnomes.
