FR-1X volume upgrade

I know of an accordion player that has severely diminished hearing now and relies on one of those attached to his seat and triggered by the bass player in order to keep in time with the band now.

actually you all might be on to something

digital accordions with internal speakers COULD have a third audio channel
engineered and built into the system, with the third channel feeding such a device
installed against the speakers back-plane

these need to be pressed against something basically
These are available in 16 ohm so two in series will equal the impedance of most headphones. Just need enough signal from the headphone jack for subtle vibration, no need for thumping. Worth a try............... :-)

Why the big concern of getting bigger volume? It is what it is. When you start messing with design, you tend to put havoc on the internal amp system. The last thing you want is a blown power amp…so I would stick with the standards Roland setup. Setting the gain too high in the EQ like on the FR4x, could distort the speakers. You should be able play the accordion with full volume and bellows with a clean sound.
