Hello everyone!
In the user manual, on pages 77, 79, ... 84,
4. Free Bass Edit parameters
5. Orchestra 1 Edit parameters
8. Orch Bass Edit parameters
it is said that pressing simultaneously [UP] and [DOWN] selects the values indicated as Default.
I tried it after modifying some parameters or importing orchestral sounds to another position or another set and - wanting to establish or restore the original values - nothing happened. Not a screen accepting or rejecting the procedure and no change in the values.
Does anyone have any idea if it really works or if I am wrongly interpreting the paragraph, and to what values does it refer?
Thank you very much

For example, if you are in parameter 4,2. and change button noise from "CLASSIC" to "Organetto", and are not sure what the defaults were, pressing [UP] and [DOWN] simultaneously resets that setting setting back to "CLASSIC" in section 4.2 FREE BASS EDIT. It doesn't globally reset settings back to default, but ONLY the parameters that you changed in 4.2 only.

If you changed parameters in several sections, you need to do this procedure several times... or use the backups you made and restore those.

When I first started playing around, I kept a small pad of paper and just jotted down a setting before changing it so that I recalled the section I was playing in, what it was and what I changed it to. Kind of like a line of bread crumbs so that I knew where I was and what I did... and how to get back, if needed. This was equally as good as a method to understand what I was doing, as it was a roadmap back to where I was if needed.

List of shortcut keys has been helpful to me. Especially working with another band or musician where you need to transpose. Shift + J or K. Reference manual pg 105, FR4x. Probably similar on 8x.

Thanks, Jerry.
I've tried what you say in Free Bass and it works. But not with the parameters of Orchestra 1 or 2, nor with those of Orchestral Bass or Chord, which are the ones that are giving me problems.
Regards.

Thanks, Larry.
There are no A, B, Shift keys on the FR-8x.
Regards.

I bought it three months ago. The version is 2.50.103. I think it's the last one.

No shortcut keys function on 8x? Most keyboard arrangers have them...

Well, if there are, I would like to know where they are!

Ive not tried the others, but I will try tonight, if I am not too burnt out after work. Fridays is the day I am most tired usually. If not sure what it was refer to the default setting in the manual or your notes, that you should be using as I did when first playing around. :)

Failing that, you can reset to factory settings.

There is no shift key, there are no shortcut keys.
