Good Oktoberfest tunes?

I wasn't aware of the 15 volumes. I know volumes 1-4 were popular with #4 being the most popular. I also have an older Solvenian "Waltzes and Polkas for Accordion" arranged by Joe Trolli featuring Frank Yankovic and his "Yanks"

Oktoberfest is about party music. Schlager and several Polka/waltz music are included.

lol… “Anton Aus Tirol” is so funny. It’s about this strong handsome guy from Tirol, sung by a chubby bald not-so-good-looking German guy that even (badly) raps a little in it.

And yet, I have to toe tap when I hear it… haha!

Nah this is definitely not an accordion tune, you need a rhythm section and singers to rock this song.

The ones on Amazon seem to be unavailable but here is one that might work….

I don’t know which songs are included in this volume.

Are you looking for any song in particular?
No, not looking for any song in particular.

Oh, don't call DJ Ötzi a German Jerry.
You know how it is: calling a Tyrolian guy a German may cause some irritation (especially in Bavaria) 🤭

Can you advise where to get books of Frankie Yankovic tunes? I have not been able to find any!
Accordion-scores.com has ‘Slovenian Valses et Polkas (Volumes 2 et 4)’ and ‘yankovic_15_easy_waltzes_and_polkas__1_’, that’s all I’ve found so far. Best of luck!

According to Google Translate, "moja dekle" means "my girlfriend". :)

And hey, while we're on the subject of Slovenian accordion music, you can't go wrong with pretty much anything by Slavko Avsenik. Okay, so he's not German, but he was/is pretty popular over there--a lot of his tunes are possibly better known by their translated German titles ("Trompetenecho", "Auf der Autobahn", etc.)

Thanks Jeff, there are currently a few Slavko Avsenik scores on accordion-scores.com, trompetenecho and aus der autobahn are two of them.
