Really glad to have found this Petosa AM1100 model.
This one is from 1965, with 10 bass switches, and Guidobaldi reeds (Elio Guidobaldi, as I understand).
It's with my technician for now, for some touch-ups, I am having to anxiously wait to enjoy it more...
Just wanted to share the joy 😁

That looks lovely, thanks for sharing!

I haven't played that specific year's model. I have a 1959 Chambertone that was last generation of the predecessor of the AM-1100. It has the Guidobaldi reeds like the AM 1100. The bass reeds on that are unmatched. So much power and yet its well balanced with the chords and the treble.

The Alto switch on the bass side is my favorite. I like using this switch for bass melodies.

I am back with it now, and I have to say these reeds have the best balance I have seen in voicing: it plays immediately and softly upon a gentle pressure, and on the other hand does not choke when playing forcefully - it rather exhibits a beautiful potent sound in that situation.
Kudos to the 1960s reedmakers 👏

"The beast" is the perfect name. That's exactly what I call my '59 chambertone
