Thank you Tom! I will be performing "A Man's a Man" and "Scotland the Brave" later on my Guerrini, and a certain amount of whisky is likely to be consumed!
Hmmmm, this one I take it. Not a lot of accordionists seem to be playing this on YouTube. Since this is the accordionists forum it is required that I say, “Oh look at that beautiful pre war accordion!” rather than comment on the song or performers.

And a happy Burns' Night back to you! Unusually I'm not performing tonight, as the gig is at a venue and for a group of people that I'm not a big fan of. But I've already played 2 Burns gigs and have 2 more coming up next weekend. And one of our fiddlers is doing the address to the Haggis for another event on Tuesday.
Typically we will perform a load of Burns' songs, including A Man's a Man, My Love She's But a Lassie Yet, Ae Fond Kiss, The Deils Awa', etc. I sing some of them, and play on the others. Always a fun occasion.
I am yet to see an accordion featured at a Burns Supper anywhere I've lived -- of course in a small town in the USA, it means a little gathering in the back room of some local restaurant and a few recitations with a' the words mispronounced -- and am not volunteering to change that at least this year. Maybe next year!
I played the pipes, along with a friend, last night at a local restaurant to a small but select crowd, who were most enthusiastic, but the one who enjoyed it most was the owners labrador dog who joined in, singing loudly to every tune. A great night!
