How do I find the serial number on a Hohner Morino VM?

I have a Hohner Morino VM of mid-1950's origin in Germany and want to find the serial number. The Hohner website (and Google in general) says it's on the back but I've looked and can't find one there. Can anyone tell me where to find it on this model?

My 1VM serial number is on the back of the keyboard, at the end which normally sits on the player's right thigh. I have a feeling the VM is in the same area.
The downside of that position is that wear and tear/rubbing, over the years, can eliminate the numbers which have been typed into the plastic.

Jim: Glad that worked. I'm sure you know already that with the Serial Number information Hohner will date your accordion and identify who the first owner was (maybe provide a certificate too) all for a small fee of course.
