Hello there,
my name is Jaime, I live in Illinois, USA, and I love to play the accordion!
One day, a year ago, I decided I wanted to play after watching hours of Russian accordionists playing katyusa, so I got my second hand accordion and I started practicing since them.
It's has been a life changing experience for me since I didn't like to play any instrument and I looked up to musicians with disdain since I was jealous that I couldn't make music as them, since I also enjoy it.
But it turned out I just needed the right instrument to learn, and the accordion was just that. It's the best instrument in the world and I love it. It has changed my life for the best and has allowed me to enjoy music and make other people's happy with it as well.
It also has allowed me to make a better connection with others since I'm bashful by nature so I'm grateful for that.
Currently, I'm learning Irish tunes on the Online Academy of Irish Music. Pretty fun and they were of great help when I first started.
I also have 3 accordions with me now: a Scandalli for children, an old school Italo American and a Petosa, all of them of 120 bass buttons.
Well, that's it. I'm glad to be here and learn from all of you!
Kind regards,
Jaime
