I have lost a true childhood friend at 19 years old in a car accident. When I think of the time at around when we were 8 years old, how our parents listened. We played “The Red River Valley”. I played the accordion, he played guitar. I remember well the picture of that living room concert. Things changed shortly after as my family moved out of town. But for some reason we made contact again in our teen years. Seems this was my only true childhood friend. Now only a memory.

Sorry to read this sad news ..............Hold them in your heart and remember the Good Times

My first friend and I were both 19 when he too died in an accident-- changing a flat tire on the side of the road. We met at age five and I still think of him often 51 years later. The pain doesn't go away really, just becomes bittersweet. I'm playing my Giulietti and he's playing guitar. Don't the neighborhood kids look impressed, particularly my brother in the back row making a goofy face? morton st musicians (1).JPG
