Mie Miki's recording of Oginski's Polonaise No 13

It want's me to register before I can listen to that

I think it just needs an email address. It's free to listen

Thanks. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or something has changed. I can't get past creating an account. This is what I see:

I did read through the sheet music. "Sounds" good (in my head).

Hmm did you try enter an email and a password and then click "REGISTER"? I think that was all I did.

Mie Miki is one of the only classical accordionists I can stand to listen to. I think it is because her register setting often sounds as if there's 3/4 cents of wetness there to give it a little something more piquant than much classical accordion playing, which often is a "tasteful" and denuded sounding middle reed, or crashing LM-ish type 4 and 5 note chords that are hard on the ear. Maybe she's using an MH combo of some type. Not sure, but I like her sound a lot.

Love her Scarlatti recording.

The Polonaise No.13 from Michał Kleofas Ogiński is available on Mid Miki's album "S'il vous plait".
You can listen to it in high audio quality on Apple Music.

Mie Miki has a YouTube channel and this piece is available on that channel.
As for the "as if there's 3/4 cents of wetness" comment, that just means the instrument needs tuning and is supposed to be just dry-tuned. Some concert accordion players have their instrument tuned to the so called "concert tuning" which is 2 cents tremolo. That's just enough to hear it's not completely dry and is not dry on purpose (rather than being out of tune). I don't believe Mie Miki was using an MM at all, but just M or LM. What makes it sound so lovely is that she plays an older Hohner Gola. That sound is just unique.
