I have an old Titano accordion I purchased used years ago and the grill had some small charm, button, medals, etc glued on. I took those off but the glue remains. The glue is transparent but I can feel it. Is there a safe way of removing the glue without harming the celluloid?

I think that isopropyl alcohol is likely your best bet. I think it would likely leave the celluloid alone. A bit weaker is straight alcohol (spirit). Safer for the instrument, but possibly not working well enough on the glue.

Under no circumstances use acetone or nail polish remover: that is a potent solvent for celluloid (and various other plastics), and even traces of it will immediately dull the celluloid, with larger amounts eating holes into the material.
