I wonder if someone has played this accordion and also the manufacturing date range for it (my guess is the 1980s)

It depends what you are looking for (with respect to sound, price, performance, etc.) and how well this accordion matches your needs, as well as the overall condition of it.

I happen to like Paolo Soprani accordions. Some people do not. This one is from the era where Paolo Soprani no longer existed as it had before the 1970s, and their instruments no longer produced the particular sound favored by those who held the brand in highest regard. That is still true of all accordions bearing the name today. None of them have the sound and build quality of the pre-1970s instruments.

That said, it is still an Italian-built accordion. If you like the sound and playability of this particular accordion, if it is in good condition, fits your price point, and motivates you to play it, then it could be ideal for you!
