Reed valve replacement cost

Hi!
Just wanting to check if replacing curled leather reed valves is a costly fix and how much of a difference it makes?

Hi bmb, and welcome!
You're better off asking an accordion repairman directly, as it's up to them.
To replace the valves, you'll need to do both front and back.
While you're about it, you may as well have the wax redone.
It's a bit like having something done to a house: the job just keeps getting bigger !

Indeed, when the valves on the inside must be replaced it becomes a much more time-consuming task than when it's only valves on the outside.
And if the leather is still fine it can be removed, straightened and put back on, which reduces the cost further.
