Hi,

I've decided to replace the keytops on one of my accordions. I was wondering if anyone could walk me through the process as I've never attempted this type of thing previously.

I appreciate any assistance that anyone might provide. Thank you.

Regards,

Dano

You can buy new keytops, made of celluloid. While cutting (sawing) them to size you should keep the excess celluloid and mix it with )pure_ acetone. After a few minutes it becomes a paste that we call "celluloid glue" and that is used to glue celluloid to wood (or other celluloid). (This glue should be the same color as the celluloid you are glueing, which is why the excess celluloid from cutting the keytops to size is a good source.
