replacing the grill cloth

Hi everyone

I'm looking to change the grill cloth on my Cooperativa - the one I have is gold and sparkly, I want to change it to midnight blue kind of colour, and sparkly; this is for aesthetic reasons, just because I don't like the colour of the gold.

Is grill cloth made of something special, or would any kind of cloth be suitable?

Recommendations appreciated!

just like cloth for a speaker cabinet, it must be breathable fabric,
and not resist air pressure

at the fabric store, blow through it b4 you buy it

second, consider if the weave will hold its edge, or if it will
dangle loose threads to get stuck somewhere in the accordion

you can also spray paint fine metal screen in a metalflake which is
then easy to cut, shape, glue in place, and will be unique looking
as well as strong
