Richard Noel's sounds pack brings an extra dimension

I would suggest checking his FB account, he is active there.
I'm not at liberty to share information on his behalf, but check his latest posts, he might have had serious reasons for delaying emails.
Wow 😱
I’ll not bother him for now.

A Facebook post by Happy Music Center mentioned that Richard Noel experienced a total loss - home and contents - house fire early November. Hence his lack of response,

Oh that is absolutely terrible! I hate hearing that. So all of his accordions, equipment, music, etc? I cannot imagine where to begin again after that. He seems the resilient type and I hope he recoups quickly from that ordeal.

Thanks kep, I looked at Richard's Facebook account and nothing was posted since 2021.

I was hoping that someone who knows Richard would shed some light if Richard is monitoring his https://www.noelaccordion.com/roland site. I just want to buy the SETs.

Regards, Karl

Not sure which account you've checked, I meant this one:

Thank you very much Kep. I looked at this account. Regards, Karl

I purchased Richard Noel FR1x package. I added the two sets…I like the way he creates the programs from the factory, out of the box accordion. I use my sets too, but like the additional.
Although, will stay the FR4x, seems more comfortable when sitting. May use the FR1x when I need to stroll out for a special table side song.
Does it come differently at Eq RH and LH compared to how it comes from the factory?
I would like to try his set too if it is improved.

From the very little that I saw, it did not touch the EQ. That would be logical because you would need to change it back to factory if you were making recordings (where you control tone in the post production), or live, where the sound engineer wants to make sound adjustments based on the needs of the current location.

I may be wrong, but in the experimentation that I've done with my FR4X the RH and LH EQ settings in the System menu in the Roland editor, only affect the sound through the built in speakers. The Line and headphone outputs are unaffected.

An update from me regarding Richard Noel’s FR-8X sets. I ordered the sets about 3 weeks ago and got them the next day with comprehensive instructions. The sets are fantastic.😀👍

@k-man Did you use the PayPal link on his website to purchase them, or email him directly?

The PayPal link first to pay and then I emailed Richard the PayPal receipt with other detail like which expansion sounds I have in my FR-8X … from Richard “You should have the Alpine and AccOrchestra expansions for my programs to sound as intended.” I already had Alpine and I needed to remove one of the other expansions to load AccOrchestra… and I am glad that I did it as I have the full range or rich sets. Regards Karl

I just want the help made through the eq, the set and the USP I will leave mine. I have also loaded all the expansions, I'm just trying to bring a more pleasant sound close to fr8x
