Accordion is quite different from piano in that the keys are easy to press, and pressing more forcefully doesn’t change the sound. I use all of my fingers, and often need to do some creative fingering and thumb crossings, especially for contra dance tunes and tangos that have scales. I’m pretty good at doing Scottish rolls by playing 3-2-1 rapidly on the same key,,, as long as it’s a white key. I need to work on the black keys.
