Roland BK-7M - Additional Styles?

Phil, I also want to look at the files, if I may. I wish I had either of the following:

1. A bk-5 keyboard so that I could create my one files, or;
2. Software converter to convert BIAB styles to BK-7m styles in one pass (haven't seen that yet.)
Yes go ahead they should be accessible to anyone here feel free to download and try them

A few years ago I was experimenting with some old Ketron files. I just changed the extension and it played on my Korg. Maybe should go back to this experiment?

AFAIK, Roland .STL files are not compatible with any other arranger style files, so I doubt that a file extension change would work. Going from BIAB to Yamaha is possible with a converter program, but not from Yamaha to Roland.

either way, if you can or cannot convert, there is nothing like the manufacturer style with there own sound module. Although, The Korg styles I shared above converted from the pa series sound good. Almost like a new Bk7m model.

The reason for my trying to add styles to the BK-7m is that I’m a klezmer fan who never found klezmer styles for the BK-7m. A few years ago, I played accordion with a group of guys and we did some klezmer tunes among other things. Now those guys are either deceased or disabled.

Even longer ago, a lady clarinetist I knew made and sold a collection of klezmer styles for BIAB. They were impressive, but never appeared in any other format. I find BIAB to be a wonderful piece of software, but it’s problematic in live settings.

That kind of explains my quest for a way to convert BIAB style files to files that will work with the BK-7m.

They're 2 completely different companies and Apple doesn't share/talk to anyone and would likely love to sue if someone backwards engineered something that did that. Because of those reasons, I really doubt this will ever happen... besides the fact that the amount of work needed to accomplish this vs the number of people that would ever need that functionality, much less pay for it, would be very, very low. The BK-7m is also discontinued.

Too many reasons to even hope that someone could ever do this... sorry Alan, I'm not very hopeful.

Too bad Roland Bk7m did not have international styles add-on like I found Korg to do.

You are correct about everything except the ownership of BIAB — it’s PG Music, not Apple. Maybe you’re confusing it with Garage Band which is an Apple product?

At any rate, if I did find a way to get the BK-7m to do Chosidls, Rumanian Horas, Bulgars, Terkishers, etc., it would just be for my anusement and not to be shared with anyone.
