split screen video

im going to try recording myself
from 2 angles the front and side
to see when i go wrong what im
doing.

anyone else tried this?

Yes, but for the purpose of making a performance music video, not educational or to look at what I am doing wrong. To do it just for training purposes is super easy because you only need to look at ONE video at a time, so you dont need to see them side-by-side to see errors and to be honest, I cannot think of any important errors that are visible from the side anyways. Things like proper posture and a nice high elbow position should be felt, and not needed to be seen onscreen to correct.

Besides to place both videos on the same screen takes more work than it is worth for this purpose because you are going to waste time trying to make everything synch together.

For a small sample of a multi-cam setup in a song, look at this:



Specifically, the switch from one camera to another happens at the 1:47 mark and the 3:39 mark.

I always read posts of you asking how to be better at the accordion, but i've never listened to you. It would be nice to watch a two-angle video, to suggest you different positions or fingering... anything to help you get a good level

well to be honest
as sebastian said
its fairly difficult to
get two videos in
sync as well as
this the software
wont allow me
to do anything
without this is
a trial everywhere
making it fairly difficult.

I think the problem with
my progress so far /
lack of is because I
practice the same song
for months and if I get it
wrong it stresses me out
which then makes me over
think it which would explain
all my different theories as
well as this if I get stressed
then without realising it might
be affecting my playing as I will
then be getting it wrong a lot
and will then stress me out further.

so it might literally be that im trying
to hard if thats the case then
my hard work is working backwards

but oh well.maybe less is more

Stress is indeed going to effect your playing. You sound stressed at least.
I advise dropping your current project and starting something else. Come back to this one after 6 months and you’ll be amazed at how far you’ve progressed.
