I need your help. I'm looking for songs with a very specific character.
I play a few songs with a funky bass melody that is not just a walk to fill in the chords. It's an actual melody that stands out. Most of these sings are recognizable just for that bass riff.
I like to play this bad melody on the bass buttons and then use the chord buying to play a straight beat (like a snare). Then the right hand has another melody that is often syncopated differently from the left hand bass riff. These sings are so much fun to play on the stradella bass. I believe stradella is one of the best systems for playing something like this as a solo live performer.
I already have two of these in my set list. I want to add more.
