That’s why they bring me brats with sauerkraut at the farmers market? I thought they liked me. . I play it in D, my own arrangement. I think it works well to play the chorus “hook” first.

I think your best bet is to look for a small ballroom advertising “liscio” or “ballo” music. That is tucked away out of the tourist area. Hard to find. Hopefully there will be an accordionist and maybe a singer, with “basi” or backing tracks. Bring nice clothes for this activity. In bocca al lupo!

i agree with the hook first..

and i approach it kinda "accapella" with no steady beat/timing,
but more like it would be softly sung to an infant in a cradle

It is not that hard to find clubs where they play ballroom dancing if you are in the North/Centre. The orchestras have their calendars all busy so if you want to, you can find them.

The Apennines across Italy almost completely from north to south. Do you already know where to go? If I can help you in any way feel free to write privately as well. I live very close to the part of the Apennines called the Tosco/Emiliano (Tuscany/Emilia)
