That couldn't possibly ever happen in this forum, could it? ;)
There are tons of YouTubers that get free stuff in return for perks or pay/sponser others to advertise for them, it’s not uncommon. I’ve had several offers myself but so far have politely refused them all.

I have no presence on Social Media whatsoever. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Rumble, Reddit. I am very happy about that decision!

I've been on YouTube for over 25 years, previously super heavy in Photography... had offers of cameras and lighting equipment many times. I never want to monetize it, I am purposely avoiding meeting monetizing requirements (not even 1 short video made), even doing that now on my accordion channel, but I like making videos.

It would be nice to get a $700 equipment for free. But then one won't be able to speak their mind.

Depends on the deal that you make with the manufacturer. Most YouTubers are open and state when they get something free and manage to be pretty critical too. YouTube rules are also very strict when it comes to that as well. If something is sponsored and you don't mention it, they often take down the video without notification.

It's a grey area. The company wouldn't want to give away free products to someone who is going to be hostile. If the creator is too big, they can control the narrative. For a smaller creator, there's a lot of conflict is interest (even if they disclose the sponsorship).

It mostly is... but if you want to keep both your video online and credibility (the biggest factor ANYONE has a popular channel on YouTube), you'd better be upfront and careful. If one person says "this is great" and 50 say "this is crap and here is why", that one person looks like they are clueless and lose subscribers, revenue (if they get any at all) and become popular for being dishonest.

I've literally seen a channel with 1.2 million subscribers die in 48 hours due to them loosing credibility. They're normally never heard of again.

I really like OP's solution, with a big Android tablet with good battery life. Most of the proposed cheaper solutions require onsite power and an extension cord (15 minutes until the cord snags on somebody's foot and the TV tips over), and meanwhile the dedicated e-ink readers that will show music at full size run over US$1000 new.

Re required size, I'll note that a double spread of actual 9x12 sheet music measures just shy of 22 inches diagonally. I too would be happy with a battery powered screen in the 22-24 inch range. (Though at some point I have to ask myself "is this better than an actual music stand and lamp? Even $500 is a lot to pay just to be able to turn pages with your foot.)

If someone wants to give me free accordions I'll say whatever they want!

I’m trying to cut down! My lovely wife has a collection of over (what seems like) 10,000 knitting needles so I’m safe for now.
Well... if someone just happened to have a Hohner Concerto III 72 bass or a Hohner Tango II 80 bass that could confirm the guts are in good condition I would have a hard time not buying it... ;)

My wife has strongly suggested that my four accordions is "plenty for one person".

However, I can't scratch the itch of wanting more. Haha.
One is enough, but honestly you need to have boxes that do what you want/need/enjoy. If that's 1, cool. Me, that was a little more. Yeah I have a lot, but a couple are just for looks or future repair practice. :)
