USB midi for FR 3-X ?

I think the same as the FR1x. You can use a Widi uhost on the square usb port A on the bottom. But you need to power it, which I use the front usb port. You will then have midi in and out communication. Which I use midi in with Airturn Bt500s-6 for accordion expression and register selection.
But widimaster will work fine plugged into midi port. Only if this port is able to power it? It does work on FR1x.

what part of "this is only a data port" on the 3x didn't you understand ?

You can put the WIDI unit inside the accordion.

I did that for my FR-7b and FR-1xb.

My question…is there a connector that the midi jack plugs into the circuit board? Then just make a special cable adapter to plug in circuit board for the widimaster.

port B on the bottom, I have done midi in/out on FR1x. Is this different on fr3x? Which is great if you need to add expression pedal…

I think the issue is that people are not getting that the Fr1x and 4x are different than the Fr3X. I think the best solution to my midi question, is the one Ventura shared with me. Short of actually going inside the accordion and soldering wires to connectors.

in some ways i still prefer the 3 and 3x over the 4x

first of all, the firmware has proven very reliable
on the 3 series, and for those who prefer simplicity
and ease of use, the 3 gives a straightforward
approach with some very nice sounds

the French set in particular is very useful and has
a nice bonus in those double shift selections

of course check them out thoroughly first, but with
pre-owned prices typically under $2000 they are a very
compelling option compared to the new models..
even if you only use it as a MIDI controller connected to
your computer and with headphones for silent practice
it would easily give you your moneys worth

I wasn’t too sure after I purchased mine, and was considering a 4 X. But once I got used to how it operates, and learned a bit more about it, I quite like it. Likely the FR4 X has more programming options, but I’m a player, not a programmer. I managed a really decent Morino sound, thanks to Derek Hamilton, so I’m happy with it. Since I use my Ketron unit for other than accordion sounds, the 3X does everything I need., and then some.

Hello, very interesting topic 😀
I put Juzisound midi wireless on my FR4x and it works great, no communication freezes

Hello, thanks for your question,
I didn't paint the keys, but a man in Belgrade who makes foils for arrangers and solo keyboards made matte foils for Roland.
I can say that it is much easier to play with foil and there is less friction.
When your fingers are sticky from beer, they don't stick to the keys 😀
