Though there is nothing wrong with my wrists, I wear a sports wrist band on my left wrist for playing my 32 bass. It prevents my left hand from slipping too far over the buttons. I dont wear it with my 72 bass. I got them on eBay as a pair. They are made of neoprene and fastened with velcro. The pair I have are black but there is a blue pair on eBay at the moment. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blue-Neop...ity_Disability_Medical_ET&hash=item232947981e
It would depending if the strap is not loosed off a little.. I use it on my 32 bass it stops the left hand moving too far over the buttons because on a small accordion the strap is much nearer to the buttons, but is not needed on my 72 bass. It may take a little getting use to be because one gets used to the feel of not ever having used a wrist band which may feel cumbersome, but if there is a wrist problem it may well help to overcome it..
I bought leather wrist supports in Germany many years ago as Im prone to wristy afflictions. Theyre serious business, and last forever. Ive never seen them in this country but you can get them from Amazon.de . Theyre a bit bulky underneath the bass strap but Ive found the support more efficient than any other style - they basically make you keep your wrist straight...
Here we go again putting the cart before the horse. Or don't raise the bridge - lower the river. There are and have been for years many different styles of bass straps that can be purchased and installed on an accordion to solve most performers complaints. Stop trying to spend money to modify the hand or wrist your born with , just modify the instrument itself. :hb JIM D.
