If anyone else finds this thread and is looking for the old style mesh straps, I found some from Strings and Boxes very reasonably priced. I'm refering to 'type metallic bellow strap 2' on the below link.

Not only mesh straps, but they have replacement straps for my Hohner Concerto - I've tried replacing the press-fastener myself, but the result wasn't very pretty.
