Where in EU do you buy your accordion spare parts?

As you know, I am getting into accordion repairs with several instruments waiting for work... Now I need some items as wax, valves, felt, leather... You know, the basic things.

Could you recommend some sellers of good material in EU?. I will need large lots of some things, as valves, so I need to care also for the prices. I want good quality, of course. Just reasonably priced!

Thanks!

Jose

A few sources:
1) Carini (carinidena.it) in Castelfidardo is the largest seller of accordion parts and tools.
2) Ilaria Lanari (+393394336581) in Castelfidardo is well known for wax, valves, felt and leather and some tools.
3) Hohner Cshop (https://www.hohner-cshop.de/) is good for Hohner parts. There are separate businesses for EU and for US and Canada.

Hi Jose
I guess you (almost) have enough options.
Just in case you want some more (from all of them I bough some parts with good experience)
4) https://www.stringsandboxes.de/epages/es117831.sf/en_GB/?ViewObjectPath=/Shops/es117831
5) http://pigini.bplaced.net/Akkordeonersatzteile_Akkordeonwerkzeuge_HAtools-Katalog.htm
and of course there are quite some offers on eBay:

Yes, now I have plenty, thanks (y) !

I have already bough some material for my Hohner Verdi II (red) from Stringsandboxes.de. I am satisfied with the deal and the quality of the items but, as I need lots of spares to work on the plethora of accordions which have found its way to my home, I need to find the better suppliers for quality and price, so I will compare and decide where to buy what.

Ilaria has already answered my query and will provide a catalog soon. Great!

I had also found the akkordeonwelt eBay listings and, in fact, yesterday I was about to order from them. But I will wait to check other options before. I try to not be in a hurry, even if my inner voice says hurry up!

As debra suggests, Carini seems to have everything, but the web site defeated me. There's too much choice, with poor translation into English, and critical information, such as dimensions, being too often absent. Also, I found its menu system chaotic.

I have had excellent service from La Malle aux Accordeons, www.lamalleauxaccordeons.fr, and Accordeons Paris Sud, www.accordeons.fr. The former seems happy to respond to emails in English, the latter's extremely helpful (and patient!) communication was exclusively in French. My unused-for-over-half-a-century schoolboy French and Google Translate seemed to work OK, and I was surprised to discover how much of the language was familiar(ish). I wouldn't like to try in Italian, though. Accordeons Paris Sud has a range of more 'technical' parts (like undrilled and unbent bass 'pistons' and bare reeds and rivets). I don't know how prices compare with Carini, because Carini seems to prefer not to broadcast its prices. Courier charges to New Zealand were a bit of a shock...

The Carini site works reasonably well once you understand Italian...
When you create an account with them and log in you will see prices.
A downside of them is that for many small items the minimum order is unreasonable unless you want a lifetime supply. For instance, if you need a hook for the bass belt you have to order 20 of them... When you visit their store in Castelfidardo they will just let you buy a single hook... But for just a few accordion repairers in the world it is feasible to visit the store often...

UK people, just to let you know, Carini won't ship to the UK for less than 180 euros now because of brexit and tax. I had an order pending with them for some time and they didn't tell me this until I enquired, then had to cancel the order. OG accordions do parts in South West England and is a brilliant, friendly service I highly recommend. I wish I could run a big accordion parts store like CM or be a vendor for Carini but I don't have the capital to start something like that. And Brexit has made it so difficult and expensive to get parts, it must be difficult for the other accordion techs in the UK. I make my own wax sticks and I'm experimenting with making valve boosters at the moment.
