One of my favourite 1960’s rock tunes that I’m working on. It’s been about 1.5 months learning to play the accordion and trying to figure out and play songs I love which keeps me practicing! (Primarily the bass stretches needed to hit the proper chords!!!!)

Good choice....chances are if you love what you're playing that'll come through in your playing.... don't get sidetracked...
Keep em coming. .❤️

Thanks. This particular song has some nice chord progressions that are challenging for a beginner but not impossible and seems to suit the accordion sound quite well considering it’s 1960’s rock. I think in the original they use a harpsichord and guitars so it has a bit of that old style feel anyways.

Nice! One of my fave Hollies tunes. And yeah, some adventurous chords involved there.

Are you going to tackle "Carrie-Anne" next? :)

bus stop taught me an important life lesson

be kind be generous be thoughtful and good things will happen

for your video, glad to see you playing a thoughtful bass line
to support the melody rather than oom pa pa

their vocal harmony also taught us something about subtle complex chords
back when everyone else was doing simple standard progressions
