Can I now attach a photo to a post, directly from my iPhone camera?

It should even work with a photo of an accordion! ;)
Of course I cannot test it as I do not have an iPhone...

You can ”drag and drop” images from your computer into your post, and also “copy and paste” images from elsewhere too without uploading them as an attachment.

Paul,
I didn't have a photo of an accordion at the time and it was in the nature of hopeful experiment rather than expectation ( but I do get your point ?).
See my other post on "How do I...? for some accordion images, now I've got the hang of it. :)

I also don't have an iPhone. I haven't tried posting photos yet on the forum other than getting my somewhat off-centered avatar in place. But I think I'll be able to post, as Knobby noted in #3 comment, from my computer.

Last year I went from a MS Lenovo PC, which faded away, to a Chromebook. Using my new computer has been quite the challenge. I took a C.E. training class last fall to learn the parallel google software (Sheets, Docs, Slides) to the MS Professional package. I still stumble around this "foreign-to-me" software, but doing much better. At first I spent a number of nervous days completely off-the-grid. At the same time I changed to gmail as a new email software. You can imagine the fun times.

When I fired up the Chromebook, my camera's photo upload software could not be supported on the Chromebook. I still use an excellent older Nikon Cool-Pix 35mm auto-focus camera. I went after this challenge, and have managed to do photo posting from my camera directly to my computer files, eventually placing in The Cloud. There probably is a more efficient method, but since what I do works, I've decided not to try another route.

Since I just joined the conversation, I'm taking some photos of my Beltuna accordion. Plan to try some photo posts here before long.

Any members here work on a Chromebook? That would be helpful to know the next time I scrape my nose against a software brick wall! :*)

I still don't understand how I was able to post the above picture of a gailardia without needing to reduce it, and now I couldn't!?

I thought I'd answered you in another thread:
Possibly because I hadn't finished setting up the attachment permissions when you posted your picture
Now I have set the picture sizes yours are obviously too big. There are lots of apps you can download to your phone which would make it easy to resize your pictures. (y)

OK. Thanks Knobby ??
I have found an app that will resize my pictures and I will use it as needed.?
