I have a hohner Verdi Iii which has been in storage for about three years . I managed to get it out today and something is wrong. The black keys just wont make notes, just puffs and hisses. I haven't a clue where to start with this. Is it damaged beyond repair, how evpensive would it be or does anyone know of a good uk repairer that could advise me
Thanks
Mags

Hi Mags - got a pic? Helps us advise repair vs value. If you want a local repairer you better say where in the UK you are?

Does it have any switches or levers in front of or behind the treble keyboard to change the sound?
Could be a two voice with the white notes on one reed block and the black notes on another, and the black note reed block has become loose.

That was the only thing I could think of, Tom, but Verdi 3 is 3 voice LMM, and sharps & nats are mixed on the blocks in my experience. Hence the pic request.

Still, the problem should just be a loose reed block.

On the lower half of the notes all black keys are on one reed block and the white keys on another. So the reed block with the black keys must be loose. That should be an easy fix.

 Make's no difference where the reeds in the reed block are located. The problem here is a loose reed block.
