Bugari-Evo

Some good news I received from Bugari Here is the official Bugari Evo website where indeed the Evo is still being produced by the Bugari factory and can be bought from their assigned dealers throughout the world
http://www.bugarievo.com/
I understand that the Evo is basically an 8X. However, I don't think you can load the EVO with the sounds/tones that you can in the 4 expansion slots of the 8X, Also, does the EVO have a PC Editor? Will the 8X PC editor work on the EVO? Does the EVO give you all the "software hooks" that are available to you in the 8X. For example, does the EVO have a 4 band equalizer with adjustable frequency at each band and volume adjust of +/- 15 db at each chosen frequency?

I appreciate having all of this "tuning" available to me with my 8X. If you are never going to touch/modify any of the tone selections of your accordion, they I guess it doesn't make any difference whether you get an EVO or 8X.

In looking at the website and in recalling how the EVO played for me when I used Ed's, I can see the appeal. It looks nicer, feels nicer on the right hand... its just missing a lot of functionality that I use regularly on my 8x, like programability and more sounds which adds versatility.

All threads from the previous server (hosted in Russia) were carried over to the new server (no longer in Russia) but these old threads are locked. So it's not about a period of inactivity but the move to a new platform. Everything from after the move can still be replied to.
Could you please bring the link to that discussion? I'll try to sort this out, especially if the discussion was in Russian :)

It's all the discussions from before the transition (not long after the Russian invasion of Ukraine). The discussions were not in Russian. This forum just used a server in Russia and soon after the start of the war Knobby moved the hosting out of Russia.

That's the right move by all means!

Then could you point to the threads you mentioned?

Hi all, after a lot of deliberation, I ended up buying a Roland FR8X. I gave my FR4X to my nephew. The reasons for this decision was due to the uncertainty of the Bugari Evo in the future (manufacture, support and parts), and because it was not 100% Roland FR8X software compatible because the Balkan sets are not compatible with the Bugari Evo software and therefore cannot be installed.

I wanted so much to get the Bugari Evo and keep my 4X because the 4X has features (bellows straps, black and white registers etc). that the 8X does not ... maybe in the near future as Bugari re-establish themselves.

Kind regards, Karl

Our own JimD makes bellows straps kit for the 8X. Personally I never missed having them there, I just used the same care and handling as if I was holding an accordion with open bellows straps, its no hard task. :)

As for the registers, having black/white registers on a predominantly black accordion does stand out and not in the normal "nice" way, but if you needed a little color, just add some color to the registers like I mentioned in a previous thread using dollar store plastic sticky jewels and add osme swarovski crystals to the bass buttons.

Congratulations on your new 8X!
