Help choosing new accordion...

Anyway, I'll get some photos and video later, and thanks again for the advice!

5 days later...

72 bass Guerrini 'Ramona IV':

LMMM is a step up from my Hohner LMM:

While for the sort of music I play, 72 is a good compromise between weight and bass button count:

I could not resist the matching red straps with red bellows paper:

Would anyone care to comment on these accordions. This is a relatively local seller to me and someone I've bought from before and had a good experience. I will be part-ex'ing my Weltmeister 48.

My requirements:
  • At least 72 bass buttons
  • Musette tuning
  • Not crazy heavy, though I have started going to the gym 2-3 times a week since I last bought an accordion
  • Built-in mics would be an advantage
  • Decent Italian brand

Can you really not manage to keep your little Welt Perle? I recall you play Morris and other folk . . . the little guys like the Perle are a godsend when one is in the mood to travel light. And good deals for examples in good condition are getting harder to find.

Cheers on the swellegant Guerrini! ( I see a shop listing quoting 9 kg weight.)

Too late, I part-exchanged it on the Guerrini :( . I kept the Weltmeister for a while in case I joined another Morris side, and as a spare. But when my Hohner broke the Weltmeister being 48 bass wasn't able to play many of the Christmas tunes I'd learned so wasn't really a spare. At least now I have two instruments that are broadly the same spec.

You're spot on with the weight, it's 9.3kg with straps. I weighed my Concerto and that's 8.2. It carries it well, or maybe going the gym the last 3-4 months is helping.
