Hello

I bought a very old Hohner Atlantic a while back it is in beautiful condition and the reeds and valves still look like new. No heres my problem, it was damaged when it was posted to me as it was only in a gig bag, there is no damage to the body work but the bass buttons have dropped, it is the fundamental and counter bass buttons that are the only ones affected.

I managed to remover the cover from the bass end and thats as far as i got, I cant see anything obvious.

I have posted some pictures.

Can I suggest that you loosen the two catches and lift off the bass machine. If you are very lucky, then , when you refasten these clips the problem may be solved. If that doesn't work then you may be able to see the problem when the bass machine is in your hand.
Do not force anything.
Good luck,
Garth

hi

Ok will try t tomorrow, hope all the rods dont fall out, lol

Remove the bass machine carefully and the rods will not fall out. Once out, observe the bass pistons, and you will find 1 or 2 bent and need to be Straighened.
