Hello everybody,

so, yesterday I was requested by some lovely group of teenagers if I could play Stereo love.

While I could play the accordion section almost decently, I think I want to properly play the whole song and I'm working on it.

However, the bass section would not fit on stradella system, and I couldn't find a decent music sheet online for me to learn and practice.

So, I thought on coming here and ask the friendly accordionists community for advice.

How would you rearrange the bass side for the accordion? ( I don't have a free bass system yet)

Do you know where I could get a better music sheet online than the one I found?

Please, share your thoughts about this and thanks for reading.

Music sheet that I found here:

Video of the song I found:

As a beginner I would discuss this with your teacher. They might be able to point you in the right direction. Listening to the video there don’t appear to be many chords but I would hazard a guess you will need compound chords (combining chord and counter bass) using a Stradella. To be honest the song doesn’t lend itself to a solo performance.

I would suggest you:

1. Simplify the music to match your instrument.

2. Use an app to identify the chord structure if you need to.

3. Get the gist of the chord progression then abandon the guide and play chords that sound right to you. You don't have to play "what's written."

4. As Glenn said, it doesn't lend itself to solo accordion, so consider singing and accompanying yourself on your acccordion.

Good luck!!!!
